In a breakthrough, mathematicians have discovered an infinite number of hidden structures in a common type of space. The subspace design problem deals with n-dimensional vector spaces and their subspaces. Mathematicians have been searching for these structures for 50 years, and only one example had been found until now. The new proof reveals that there are infinitely more out there.
